The U.S. Space Force has released the results of its 2026 Mega Promotion Board, selecting hundreds of Guardians for advancement to the next enlisted rank. The latest promotion cycle includes Specialist 4s advancing to Sergeant, Sergeants promoted to Technical Sergeant, and Technical Sergeants selected for promotion to Master Sergeant. The announcements recognize the performance, leadership, and professional development of enlisted Guardians serving across the force.

During the 2026 Mega Board, Space Force officials selected 405 Specialist 4s for promotion to Sergeant, 242 Sergeants for advancement to Technical Sergeant, and 196 Technical Sergeants for promotion to Master Sergeant.
The selections reflect the continued growth of the Space Force's enlisted leadership while ensuring qualified Guardians are prepared to take on expanded operational and supervisory responsibilities throughout the service.
Selection Rates Highlight Competitive Process
The promotion board recorded strong selection rates across each grade, particularly for Guardians seeking promotion to Sergeant.
Of the 424 eligible Specialist 4s, 405 were selected, resulting in an impressive 95.52% selection rate. Those selected achieved an average overall score of 450, with an average of 1.07 years in grade and 3.52 years of total military service.
For promotion to Technical Sergeant, 242 of 324 eligible Sergeants were selected, representing a 74.69% selection rate. Selected Guardians earned an average score of 366.77, with an average of 3.63 years in grade and 8.22 years of military service.
Promotion to Master Sergeant remained the most competitive category. Out of 530 eligible Technical Sergeants, 196 were selected, resulting in a 36.98% selection rate. Those chosen averaged a promotion score of 375.07, along with 4.5 years in grade and nearly 13 years of military service.
